This will be the first article of the upcoming series from the category weight loss success stories.

It will feature people from various walks of life, as to try to show you that anyone can achieve the goals they want. As long as they put their mind to it.

We all love weight loss success stories, especially if its about people who are close to us.

In this case a good friend of mine approached me about helping her, and prepare a meal plan.

She is a very smart woman and even has a college degree in nutrition, but conventional wisdom and medicine has failed her for years. She was on prescription drugs to manage the symptoms but the problem wasn’t cured.

So like the saying from Hippocrates goes “let food be your medicine” I managed to convince her, to give keto a try.

She had many problems (muscle fibromyalgia) and food allergies for years. The list of foods she couldn’t eat, as they caused her a reaction varying from bad to worse, was as long as Sarah Jessica Parker face.

The short list of foods she could eat, made it a real challenge to make a meal plan, that was nutritious. And of top of that that it had variety, as nobody wants to eat the same thing every day. I mean even ice cream and pizza can get old.

var mnSrc = (isSSL ? 'https:' : 'http:') + '//contextual.media.net/nmedianet.js?cid=8CU4K4C74' + (isSSL ? '&https=1' : '');
document.write('<scr' + 'ipt type="text/javascript" id="mNSC" src="' + mnSrc + '"></scr' + 'ipt>');
})();

So as weight loss success stories go, this one is kinda amusing. Our goal was to get her healthy and feel better, but the side effect of lower whole body inflammation was astounding.

Almost as a side effect with no effort of exercise she lost 66 pounds and has way more energy than she ever remembers. Read it again, without exercise!

And to top it off, most of her reactions and aversion to food disappeared. She got her appetite back and can now freely eat all kinds of meat without the slightest problem unlike before.

66 pounds of difference

THE MEAL PLAN

It was based on a ketogenic diet. The reason I say based on, is that the macros weren’t your regular ketogenic ones. I prefer going instead of 75% fat and 25% protein, to half and half.

That means you get half of your calories from fat and half from protein. This has many benefits over the regular keto diet. It has a better effect on overall body composition, and even better regulation of appetite.

You can read more about it in this article on losing weight .

Now I’m not saying that a keto diet is a cure for all, but it is something to try out. So if you want to be able participate in weight loss success stories of your own, give keto diet a try.
